How Burlington Basement Pros Works
We are a referral service, not a waterproofing company. Here is exactly what happens when you send a request, and what to check before anyone cuts into your basement floor.
Free referral service. A partner contractor contacts you directly.
About Burlington Basement Pros
Burlington Basement Pros is an independent referral service, not a contractor. We do not perform waterproofing, sump pump or foundation work ourselves. When you send a request, we share it with an independent partner contractor serving Burlington County, NJ, who contacts you directly. Any estimate, contract, pricing, licensing, insurance and workmanship are between you and that contractor. Please verify their credentials before you hire.
We built this site because comparing waterproofing companies is confusing: different systems, different warranties and a lot of sales pressure. You send one request. We route it to an independent partner contractor that handles basement work in your part of Burlington County, and they contact you.
We are not affiliated with any township, sewer utility or insurance company, and nothing on this site is an inspection, engineering opinion or mold assessment.
The process, step by step
- You send a request or call. Use the request form or call (609) 248-0220. Tell us your town, what you need and how soon.
- We review it and refer it. We check that the request is complete and in our Burlington County service area, then share it with an independent partner contractor who handles that kind of job in your area.
- The contractor contacts you directly. They will usually call or text to ask questions and arrange a visit. Any estimate you receive is theirs, not ours.
- You decide. There is no obligation. If you hire the contractor, your agreement, payment and any warranty are with them, under their own written contract.
What it costs you
Nothing. Sending a request is free and you are never obligated to hire anyone. Burlington Basement Pros may be compensated by partner contractors for referrals; that does not change what the contractor is allowed to charge you, and you should always get pricing in writing.
What we do not do
- We do not perform waterproofing, sump pump or foundation work, send crews or own equipment.
- We do not give binding quotes, inspect properties or guarantee any contractor's work.
- We do not hold contractor licenses, registrations or insurance for this work. The contractor you hire is responsible for those.
- We do not sell your information to lists or multiple bidders. Your request goes to a partner contractor for your job.
Before you hire anyone, verify
- NJ Home Improvement Contractor registration. Look the company up on the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs license verification site and confirm the registration is active.
- A written contract. For jobs over $500, New Jersey requires a written contract that includes the contractor's registration number, and you have three business days to cancel after signing.
- Insurance. Ask for a certificate of liability insurance sent directly from the insurance agent.
- The warranty, in writing. What it covers (the system, or a dry basement), how long, and whether it transfers to a buyer.
- Permits and trades. Ask whether any part of the job needs a township permit, electrical work or a licensed plumber, and who arranges it.
- No pressure. Be cautious of same-day-only discounts or scare tactics about mold or foundation collapse. A structural concern is worth a second opinion from a licensed engineer.
